A terrific conclusion to the 2014-15 season, in which the Albany Speedway Club is celebrating their 50th anniversary, is about to commence with four outstanding meetings remaining to round out the calendar.
The big finish to the season kicks off on Saturday, March 7 when Attwell Park Speedway plays host to the exciting GWN7 Modified Sedan Series which features the best modified sedan drivers in WA.
Local young gun Blake Watson will be one of the star attractions along with fellow ASC members Aydan Trewern, Steve Beres, Barry Hall and youngster Miranda Ball.
A full list of support divisions will be run on the night, with nominations currently open for drivers in any division to enter by simply heading onto our online nomination form at http://www.albanyspeedwayclub.com.au/nominations
The next blockbuster night of racing will see the club will hold a special 50th anniversary meeting on Saturday, March 21 which will be headlined by the grand finale of the Speedcar Grand Prix Series.
To help celebrate the club's 50th year, the club is encouraging all divisions to come and race at this historic meeting and the WA Classic Speedway Association will also put a display on during the show.
Club divisions will compete for their respective open championships as well on this massive night of action.
The penultimate meeting of the season on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5 looms as another quality show with the WA Production Sedan Title being run in conjunction with the annual Bill Gibbings Memorial for super sedans.
Finally the current season will conclude on Sunday, April 26 with the final night of racing for club points and the popular Small Car Demo Derby on the program.
Excitement is starting to build for this quality finish to the season to help commemorate the rich history of the club.
