The wait is almost over for the new Albany Speedway Club calendar to commence with the opening meeting of the season on Saturday, November 5 just over one week away.
Nominations are starting to build for this prestigious event which kick starts a massive 2016-17 season at Attwell Park highlighted by the running of the Australian Super Sedan Title over the annual Easter long weekend.
As an added bonus for families attending the first speedway meeting of the season, children under the age of 16 will get in for free.
The public gate will open at 4pm and racing starts from 6pm on the night.

Children (5-16) - Free
Divisions racing for the Noel Pearson Memorial will include production sedans, junior sedans, street stocks, formula 125s and modified sedans.
The Noel Pearson Memorial is awarded to the highest point scoring Albany member from any division racing on the night.
Each division that competes on the night will also race for boosted prize money of $500 per division while juniors will be awarded prizes.
