Albany Speedway Club has released their calendar for the upcoming 2014-15 season which is full of quality race meetings and will combine the clubs 50th anniversary celebrations.
The season will kick off on Saturday, November 1 this year with the running of the prestigious Noel Pearson Memorial and the popular small car demolition derby.
For the second time it the clubs history, World Series Sprintcars will visit Attwell Park in 2014-15 with the nation’s best Sprintcar drivers descending on Albany on Friday, February 6 which will be the first appearance of WSS in WA for the season.
The Attwell Park venue will also play host to the WA Production Sedan Title which will be run alongside the annual Bill Gibbings Memorial for Super Sedans on April 4 and 5 next year.
Another big addition to the Albany Speedway Club calendar is the Late Model Racing Australia’s USA Invasion Tour which will take place on Saturday, January 24 and will feature four American drivers.
Albany Speedway Club will also host rounds of the Southern Production Sedan Series, the Junior Sedan Racing Association Country Super Series, the WA Modified Sedan Series, the Super Sedan Summer Series and the Speedcar Grand Prix Series in a bumper season of racing.
The season consists of 10 race meetings and 11 nights of racing and will conclude on Sunday, April 26 with the final race meeting for club points and another small car demolition derby.
